Introduction to Quilting
Join Karen in the very informative 9 week program and cover ALL the basics. This class touches upon all the basic techniques of quilting, including rotary cutting, strip piecing, applique, hand quilting, basting and binding the quilt. By the end students should complete a wall hanging or table runner with the skills required to go on to a larger project. Come in and check out our sample.

This 8 week class is designed for the beginner/intermediate. We will work on hand & machine piecing, applique, templates and strip piecing. With 12 new blocks you will get a traditional sampler in colors of your choice. An excellent next step for graduates of Introduction to Quilting or those wishing to learn how to put together a variety of blocks.

How to use a Serger
Forgot how to thread your serger, what you can do with a serger, join Ann Marie in learning various tips and techniques. Bring your serger, instruction booklet and all your accessories.

Applique Baby Quilt
- Rounding the Bases (boy) or Ring Around the Posie (girl)
Make either quilt in pastels, brights, 1930's. This class will be geared to machine applique technique only. It does not take too long. Fun to make. A great gift for future grandchildren, great niece/nephew or ........ You will be making the quilt in stages and finishing it at home.

Paper Piecing Technique
Join Bette in learning the technique to paper piecing. You will be working on small samples which you can join together to make a pillow or small runner.

Private Garment Sewing Lessons
Private classes are offered on two issues.
-Do you need help with your sewing machine? How to use different feet, what are the feet for, what are all these stitches used for?
-Have you started a sewing project and forgot how to finish? Do you want to make a blouse, pants, etc. and not want a classroom of students?

Machine Quilting
Learn how to use your walking foot and your free motion foot. You will be experimenting with a variety of techniques on sample squares.

How Do I Finish This?
Forgot how to finish your quilt? Need a reminder on basting your quilt, quilting ideas, making a hanging sleeve and of course binding your quilt.

Block of the Month - Banner of the Month
Starting in October 2009 you have two choices –
Banner of the Year will meet the 1st Thursday of every month. You have a choice of making Quilter’s Dozen Plus (each month a different wall-hanging) or Special Occasion Banner (each month you will work on a special occasion, e.g. Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc.).

Loving Hands group
This is a volunteer group – we need you and your sewing machine OR your pressing abilities with the iron
We meet once a month to make quilts for donations to: dialysis, Children's Aid, Women's Shelter and lately for our wounded Canadian soldiers with our gratitude. We have a valid and authorized connection and they will be passing them on to a soldier on our behalf. If you wish to make one yourself the sizes are between 50” – 70” wide and 70” – 90” long. Design and color choice are up to you. We have designed labels to put on these quilts or you may design your own. We thank you in supporting our mission.
Dates: We will be alternating dates as to the availability of volunteers.
