Just a short introduction – I have been sewing for over 30 years.  I was taught by my Mother and took sewing in high school.  I started sewing for others when Natasha was born so I could stay at home with her and earn extra money.

What I can offer you:

Sewing machine class – how to operate your sewing machine and what the function for each stitch is.  Private class in your home or at Simcoe Quilt Shop in Midhurst.

Garment sewing class – private or group lessons.  Step by step instruction on how to create the garment of your choice.  Either start with a blouse/shirt that requires buttons and a collar – OR – pants with elastic waist or zipper front.
These classes are for adults and special class set up for children ages 9-13.

Memory quilts –
 Do you have a collection of T-shirts that you don’t know what to do with?  I can cut the logo out and make a quilt.  What a way to recycle!

Do you have a loved one who has passed away?  I can make a quilt from their clothing.  Pants and shirts, ties, or dresses and blouses, etc.  With a label on the back their memory can be passed to the next generation.

Want to make a ‘photo’ memory quilt.  Simcoe Quilt Shop has the fabric that can go through your printer.  Use the pictures in endless ways.  Center of a star block, window framed, or put on the back as a label.

Embroidery Machine
– I can add designs to your clothing, or put a logo and or name on your t-shirts or jackets.  I can also make a label for your quilt.
